Australia’s leading players will be on the Gold Coast to contest the WPGA Championship, the highlight event at the Festival of Golf.
The Festival of Golf, four days of fun, food, entertainment and world-class golf is set to tee off at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast next month.
Running from Thursday, March 19 to Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Festival of Golf is a unique event, packed with interactive experiences, live entertainment, pop-up bars, food, kids’ zones, lifestyle displays, and the very best shopping Sanctuary Cove has to offer.
The Festival of Golf also features a professional golfing event – the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship – where leading Australian and international women golfers will compete for the Karrie Webb Cup and $600,000 in prize money.
And with the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship at the heart of the Festival, exciting player announcements have been confirmed, with Australia’s major champions Hannah Green Minjee Lee and Grace Kim amongst the star attractions, confirming their return to compete in both the women’s Australian Open and then the Australian WPGA Championship.
LPGA star Steph Kyriacou has also confirmed she will play in Australia’s back-to-back women’s golf majors.
The outstanding field comprises the best of the WPGA Tour of Australasia and from the Ladies European Tour.
However away from the fairways and the WPGA Championship, whether a golfer, or a golf enthusiast, or just keen for a day out in the glorious setting of Sanctuary Cove, the Festival of Golf will be a memorable experience for those who attend.
A highlight will be the ticketed experiences, with limited tickets remaining for the Players Party, on Friday March 20. The Lagoon Beach Club at Sanctuary Cove will come alive in ultimate style at this exclusive event. Enjoy live entertainment, premium drinks, and a ‘Beach BBQ’ with interactive cooking stations by celebrity chef Darren Robertson of Three Blue Ducks, with the support of the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort.
Premium drinks will also be included, featuring amazing wines from Bimbadgen, cocktails and mocktails from Mr Consistent, and beer from Burleigh Brewing and Peretie.
Magdalena Roze will host the evening as MC at this limited-access, ticketed event which promises to be one of the festival’s marquee moments where guests will have the opportunity to truly immerse themselves in the vibe of the Festival, while rubbing shoulders with the stars of the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship.
