Are your knees weak? Arms heavy?
Then your palms must be sweaty on the golf course too. Eminem knew—he just didn’t specify that “Lose Yourself” was about golf gloves.
The easy fix to sweaty hands is a golf glove, but you have to pick the right one. Some premium leather gloves don’t offer enough breathability to help your clammy hands and will ultimately make things worse.
I’ve tested 5 gloves that you should consider if you commonly deal with sweaty, clammy hands. Like the Eminem song says, you only get “one shot” if you’re trying to go low. And trust me, you won’t if your hands are dripping in sweat.
We’ll start with a couple leather gloves, then we’ll look at a few synthetic options, and lastly- one glove to avoid all together.
Here are the top 5 golf gloves for sweaty hands.
PING Tour

PING does anti-sweat right with the PING Tour.
As you can see with the image above, vents are featured not only on the top of the hand, but on the inside of the fingers above the palm. This design maximizes how much air makes it in and how much heat is pushed out.
After testing nearly 60 golf gloves this year, I’ll make a bold claim that the PING Tour is the most breathable Cabretta golf glove that your money can buy.
PXG Players

The PXG Players is a step down from the PING Tour, but still deserves a spot in our top-5 most breathable golf gloves.
Vents are featured on top of the hand, and the bottom of the fingers for top-notch ventilation. Some people prefer the feeling of natural leather when they play golf (I’m one of those people).
You shouldn’t have to sacrifice breathability when opting for leather and PXG makes sure you don’t with the PXG Players golf glove.
Red Rooster Range Rooster

The first synthetic golf glove is the Range Rooster from Red Rooster.
This might be one of the thinnest golf gloves that I’ve ever worn, with vents on both sides of the fingers and at the bottom of each finger. When you mix an ultra-thin design and three areas for heat to be released, you get a glove fit for those prone to sweat.
The Range Rooster is positioned as a practice-glove focused on range reps and training. Keep this in mind before purchasing the Range Rooster.
FootJoy SciFlex

The FootJoy SciFlex was built for moments like this.
The SciFlex isn’t purely synthetic due to its leather palm, but you’ll notice a unique design that offers extensive breathability on the top of the hand. Upon further examination, I estimate that roughly 70% of the entire glove has some type of venting technology.
This is by far the most extensive design for maximum breathability and might just be the most breathable golf glove on the market.
Palm All Weather Golf Glove

Palm Golf has focused on lifestyle gloves for a while now and their All Weather Golf Glove is perfectly suited for sweaty hands.
On top of being built for breathability and moisture, it’s also got the most flare out of this group of featured gloves. If you’re searching for breathability, performance, and a touch of style, this one’s for you.
The hexagon-shaped honeycomb design optimizes grip while the tops of the fingers have vents to release heat. The sides of the fingers are stylized and more thin to produce additional airflow.
One To Avoid: Bruce Bolt Original Series Golf Glove

To provide some contrast, I wanted to highlight one glove I would avoid at all costs if you have sweaty hands.
The Original Series Golf Glove from Bruce Bolt gets an A+ in terms of grip and feel, but as you can see, there’s very little breathability. Leather with no breathability is a poor combination. There are small vents at the bottom of the fingers, but the lack of venting around the fingers is concerning for golfers with sweaty hands.
Closing Thoughts
When it comes to choosing a breathable golf glove, look for these 2 things –
- Synthetic Design.
A synthetic golf glove will almost always outperform in terms of breathability but there are trade-offs. While you might solve your initial issue of having sweaty hands, you’ll almost certainly lose some key features such as grip, feel, and comfort.
- If you go with Cabretta leather, make sure there’s proper venting.
Having sweaty hands on the golf course doesn’t mean you can never buy a Cabretta leather glove again. It just means that you have to be more intentional with the specific glove you choose. Look for gloves with venting in multiple places, and focus on storing your glove in a cool, dry place.
