There’s a reason why flying with my precious clubs makes me nervous.
Well, there are really two. First, I hate lugging them through the airport. I know, it’s not that far from the parking lot to the baggage counter, but when you’re also chasing a toddler that’s faster than Usain Bolt, it’s pretty burdensome.
And second, I never know if they’re going to make it to my final destination in one piece.
I’m sure you share (at least some) of the same sentiment.
Which is exactly why the Sun Mountain ClubGlider has been a, for lack of a better term, a literal godsend for airline travel. It solves both of those massive pain points in a way that’s literally superior to every other travel bag on the market.
If MyGolfSpy had a golf travel bag Hall of Fame, the Sun Mountain ClubGlider would have its own bronze bust statue, front and center. Because it doesn’t just win MyGolfSpy’s travel bag testing. It wins convincingly.
So when Sun Mountain reached out to say the ClubGlider is getting upgraded, I heard a few other travel bags start to quiver.
I know what you’re thinking. How do you take something that’s darn near perfect and make it better? Let’s walk through the upgrade that Sun Mountain made for the all-new ClubGlider 3.
What’s new?

It’s a short and sweet list, and that’s okay. Products like this are meant to be iterative, not exponential in terms of upgrades. The new Sun Mountain ClubGlider 3 improves on a tried-and-true, award-winning formula with additions like:
- New, abrasion-resistant polyester ripstop
- TPU film and DWR finish for weatherproofing
- Thermoform molded casing and velour lining (extra protection)
- Better zippers and zipper pulls
- Integrated Air Tag pocket and TSA locks
- More internal and external pockets
Tried and True

If I had one word to sum up the Sun Mountain ClubGlider 3, it would be “easy“.
Because that’s how traveling with it feels. It glides effortlessly across those God-forsaken airport corridors. It provides ample padding to ensure that my two mini drivers and five wedges arrive in one piece. And perhaps best of all, it folds up fairly small, leaving more room in my office for another 30 pairs of golf shoes that will inevitably lead to me sleeping on the couch for a few months.
Yeah, the ClubGlider 3 is THAT bag.
Who knew you could buy peace of mind for $450?
