The Ringo Pro was not built for golfers.
It started as a solution for influencers and content creators who were tired of carrying tripods everywhere. It is a stainless steel water bottle with a built-in MagSafe mount that locks your phone in place at any angle. Hydration and phone stand in one clean design.
But the more the team worked with it, the more they realized it fits into a wide range of sports. Golf might be one of the best uses yet.

The conversation that changed how I saw it
When I spoke with the Ringo sales team, what stood out most was their excitement about golfers discovering the product. They understand something serious players learn over time. If you want to improve, you have to see what you are doing.
I have been using the Ringo daily for about a month. When I brought it to the driving range, it made even more sense.
Why tripods at the range never feel right
Tripods sound like the obvious solution for filming your swing.
In practice, they are awkward. For me, setting one up at the range feels like an invitation for someone to walk over and ask what I am working on or stand there watching while I try to sort something out. It adds pressure to a moment that should feel focused and simple.
The Ringo helps with that.
It looks like a water bottle sitting behind you. Setup takes seconds. If I want a face-on angle instead of down the line, I slide it over and adjust the hinge. There is nothing to balance and nothing that makes it feel like I am putting on a production.
Because it is so easy, I find myself filming more often. Full swings, short game, putting.

Simple design makes you use it more
One of the biggest advantages is how low effort it feels. You are not setting up equipment. You are just moving your water bottle a few inches and locking your phone into place.
That simplicity makes you more willing to check your swing. If you are trying to change something, whether it is takeaway, wrist position or posture, video feedback changes how quickly you can make progress.
As a bottle, it holds up well
Beyond the mount, it functions as a high-quality bottle. Drinks stay cold. It is easy to clean with no hidden areas that collect dirt. After a month of daily use, I have not noticed dents or scratches on the powder-coated finish.
It feels durable and well built. One other thing to note is that if your phone does not have MagSafe, every Ringo Pro comes with a magnet you can use. It’s also helpful if you have a case that is not magnetic.
The only drawback so far
The only issue I have run into is that it does not fit in my golf cart cupholder. Ringo is releasing a solution in April and I plan to test that when it becomes available. The team tells me the bottle fits many push carts and newer Yamaha and Club Car carts. It’s not a big enough problem to be a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind.

Final thoughts
If you want to fix something in your golf swing, you have to see it. The Ringo makes that part easy. It lets you film without drawing attention, without hauling extra gear and without overcomplicating practice.
And it keeps you hydrated at the same time. As a golfer, that combination makes sense to me!
