Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash (2026) Ball Lab: Zero Bad Balls, A- Grade — But It Got Firmer

The 2026 Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash earned a Quality Score of 92 with an A- overall grade: Recommended. It posted a perfect 100 on Good Ball Rate with zero bad balls out of 36 and no category-level defects across cores, layers or covers. Compression consistency graded at B+ and diameter consistency graded at A-, both above the field average. All three boxes came from the same source: Titleist Ball Plant 3 in New Bedford, MA.

At US$57.99 a dozen, the 2026 Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash sits at the premium end of the golf ball market. It’s a four-piece urethane construction built for players who want the performance profile of the Pro V1x with a lower, more penetrating ball flight and less spin. The 2026 version measured about 1.1 points firmer in compression than the 2019 model. That’s close enough to suggest that compression hasn’t changed.

Here’s what the 2026 Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash looks like under the microscope.

Compression

Compression is a measure of how much force is required to deform a golf ball. The higher the number, the firmer the ball. Consistency matters because a ball that compresses differently from shot to shot produces different results from shot to shot. Ball Lab measures every ball individually and tracks both the average and the spread across the sample.

The 2026 Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash averaged 103, in the extra-firm range of our database. It is about 1.1 points firmer than the 2019 model. Compression consistency graded at B+ with a delta of 5.8 points and a spread running from 100.5 to 106.3, ranking in the top quartile of 124 balls tested and well below the field average delta of 9.5 points.

Compression symmetry graded at A- with a median of 1.0 points against a field average of 1.9. Each individual ball compresses evenly across its three measurement points, one of the better symmetry results in the field.

All three boxes came from the same factory and the compression chart reflects that: no meaningful spread between boxes, just a tight, consistent result.

The charts below detail the compression measurements in our sample.

Weight

Weight consistency is another metric Ball Lab tracks. Even small differences across a dozen balls can translate to inconsistent ball flight. Ball Lab weighs every ball to four decimal places.

The 2026 Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash averaged 1.6092 ounces across 36 balls, in the average range of the database. Every ball cleared the USGA maximum of 1.6205 ounces with a range running from 1.6031 to 1.6141 and a standard deviation of 0.0028. Weight consistency grades out at B-.

The charts below detail the weight measurements in our sample.

Diameter

A ball that isn’t uniform in shape can move offline on the putting green or produce inconsistent flight in the air. Ball Lab measures each ball across multiple axes to get a true picture of its shape.

The 2026 Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash averaged 1.6818 inches with a roundness deviation of 0.0005 inches. Every ball cleared the USGA minimum of 1.680 inches. The pole-versus-seam data shows no consistent shape bias. Twenty of 36 balls fell within gauge noise and no lot-wide pattern was identified.

Diameter consistency graded out at A-.

The charts below detail the diameter measurements in our sample.

Ball Test Results 2026

In the 2026 MyGolfSpy Golf Ball Test, the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash showed up as a mid-spin top pick at both high and low swing speeds.

At high swing speed off the driver, it ranked among the fastest balls on the speed chart alongside the Callaway Chrome Tour X and Wilson Staff Model X while sitting just outside the leading group on a noticeably flat trajectory. That low flight and lower spin profile is the whole point of the Left Dash.

Year over year, the Left Dash is not eye-pipingly longer (under the conditions tested) than the Pro V1. The 2026 model flies a tick lower with a bit more spin than the original. It still profiles as the low-spin distance option in the Titleist lineup, just with a slightly different shape than prior generations.

Ball Lab report card

Each Quality Score is a weighted average of five grades: Good Ball Rate, compression consistency, compression symmetry, diameter consistency, weight consistency. Our scoring system punishes defective balls more severely while giving greater weight to compression metrics than to weight and diameter.
