Trendsetter Travel’s Ireland Golf Tour – And a hole-in-one at Carne Golf Links

A traveling party of 36 enjoyed at 12-game golf tour in Ireland.

WITH tour party of 36, Trendsetter Travel recently completed a 12-golf game tour of Ireland, playing many of the great links courses near Dublin, Killarney and County Mayo.

All golf included motorised carts with stays in five-star or the best hotels available, as is consistent with all Trendsetter Travel Golf Tours.

The Ireland tour included leading links courses The European Club, Waterville, Dingle Golf Links, Enniscrone Golf Links, County Sligo and the mighty Wild Atlantic Course at Carne Golf Links.

In addition to the collection of Irish links golfing gems, the tour also played the Glen Course at Druids Glen, one of the most challenging and beautiful park land courses in Ireland. All taking part fully appreciated why this course, due to the beauty of its par three holes, is compared favourably to Augusta National.

A highlight of the tour was the hole-in-one scored by Noosa Springs Golf Club member Travis Young, his memorable shot coming at the 130 metre, par three fifth hole on Carne’s Wild Atlantic Course.

A hole-in-one for Travis Young at Carne’s Wild.

Playing into strong cross winds, Travis’s ace was the result of a well-executed six-iron, with his hole-in-one not confirmed until the group found his ball at the bottom of the cup.

The fourth hole-in-one scored by a golfer on a Trendsetter Travel Golf Tour, Travis avoided the often-obligatory requirement of shouting the bar, with Trendsetter paying for all drinks (French Champagne excluded) for this celebration and also following each golf round.
