THE official odds of making a hole-in-one on a par 3 are approximately 12,500 to 1. Yet, travellers with Go Golfing recorded four hole-in-ones in the past month. With roughly 4,400 attempts on par 3s, that’s an incredible strike rate of 1 in 1,100.
Even more impressive, all four holes-in-one were recorded by golfers playing a course for the very first time.

Switzerland was the only land-based tour on the Go Golfing calendar last month. Twenty-five golfers, mostly from Australia, travelled through Lucerne, Andermatt, Crans-Montana and Zurich, playing some of the country’s highest-ranked courses, including Golf Club Crans sur Sierre. Home of the Omega European Masters, this spectacular alpine course sits more than 5,000 feet above sea level and is widely regarded as the most picturesque venue on the DP World Tour.
There were also three golf cruises on Go Golfing’s calendar last month. A 14-day Viking Ocean Golf Cruise began in Barcelona before travelling around southern Spain to Lisbon, then on to Dublin and Liverpool, before finishing in Iceland. For around six weeks each year, Iceland enjoys almost 24 hours of daylight, giving guests the rare opportunity to add midnight golf to their list of unforgettable golf experiences.
