The UNDERRATED Golf Tour held its first event in the UK last week, when Walton Heath Golf Club hosted a two-day tournament for the fast-expanding junior golf circuit founded by NBA star Stephen Curry.
Earlier this year, Curry announced the expansion of the tour into Europe, following its successful launch in the USA in 2022.
Junior golfers aged between 12-18 from all across Europe competed in a two-day, 36-hole tournament at Walton Heath. And it proved to be an all-Wales affair at the top end of the leaderboard, with Wales national squad members Brodi Lewis (Southerndown GC) and Isobel Kelly (Erewash Valley GC) winning the first-ever UNDERRATED Golf European Tour event.
Lewis emerged victorious after defeating 2022 Curry Cup Champion Roman Solomon on the first playoff hole after both finished the tournament on three-over par, while Kelly won the girls’ event by four shots after finishing on level par.

Both Lewis and Kelly will now join 24 of the best boys and girls from the US to compete for the Curry Cup at the 2024 UNDERRATED Tour Championship, which is being at the Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey from September 2-4,
Over the past two seasons UNDERRATED Golf has hosted 10 tournaments throughout the US. In that time it has helped junior golfers gain access to great courses and create a special and inclusive environment, while also providing a viable pathway for elite young golfers to gain further tournament experience outside of the traditional college and national set ups.
