As usual, the US Masters pave the way for the Grand Slam season in the golf schedule. As an American and as the number one ranked player in PGA, Scottie Scheffler is more than eager to win in Augusta, but it won’t be that easy. There are a lot of threats for him in Georgia. The competition is strong and determined. His year, then, didn’t begin in the best way possible. McIlroy would like to overtake him but he’s not the only one. Scheffler already won the US Masters in 2022 but he always disappointed afterwards. McIlroy has never won in Augusta, but he seems to be in top shape at the moment and is already eyeing the trophy. The same could be said for Tony Finau, who is playing at an extremely high level and is the true dark horse in this competition. Rahm and Aberg, of course, can finish at the top of the leaderboard, as well as Collin Morikawa, born and raised in LA, who would like to triumph in front of a homeland crowd.
