New fairway woods are creeping toward driver-level pricing with plenty of current models retailing north of $300. That makes the used market one of the smartest places to shop if you know which clubs tested well. We pulled from our Most Wanted Fairway Wood data over the last few years and matched it against what’s currently sitting on the used shelf at 2nd Swing for under $150. Here are five that are worth a real look.
Wilson Staff Dynapower
The Dynapower didn’t just perform well in our 2023 Most Wanted Fairway Wood test; it won the whole thing. It finished second overall for accuracy and landed in the top 25 percent for distance. Forgiveness was just average but the accuracy and distance profile alone make it a legitimate top-tier fairway wood.
Right now, you can find used Dynapower fairway woods in the $78 to $138 range depending on shaft and condition. For a club that topped an entire field of testing, that’s about as good a value as the used market offers.
COBRA DS-Adapt Max
This is the newest gear on the list. The DS-Adapt Max stood out specifically for consistency, scoring as the most forgiving fairway wood in the entire 2025 test based on ball speed, carry, backspin and dispersion. The tradeoff is distance where it lags behind other options in the lineup.
Used Max models are showing up in the $77 to $150 range depending on shaft, flex and dexterity. It’s a recent release for a fair price.
TaylorMade Stealth 2
After writing about how many pros, Ludvig Åberg, Jason Day and Nelly Korda among them, have stuck with the Stealth line through multiple product cycles, I bought a used Stealth 2 3-wood from 2nd Swing for $150 including shipping. It’s stayed in the bag. I love it.
In our 2023 Most Wanted test, the Stealth 2 finished fifth overall and was the best fairway wood in the field for distance, along with top marks for feel and likelihood of purchase. Forgiveness and accuracy landed just below average but the ease of launch was the standout in our own testing, too.
After swapping the grip and getting a few range sessions in, it became a legitimate option for reaching par-5s in two. I have a ton of confidence in it.
COBRA DS-Adapt X
The X sits in the middle of COBRA’s 2025 DS-Adapt lineup, built to split the difference between the forgiveness-first Max and the low-spin LS. It’s positioned as the most balanced option in the family, combining strong ball speed with enough forgiveness to appeal to a wide range of swing types.
Used DS-Adapt X models are priced between $112 and $150 across lofts, flexes and dexterities, making it an easy add for someone who wants one fairway wood that does a little bit of everything.
Callaway Paradym
The original Paradym fairway wood, not the Ai Smoke version that came later, finished seventh overall in our 2023 test. It was the second-longest fairway wood in the field and posted an above-average accuracy score. The catch is forgiveness where it ranked near the bottom of the test at 27th.
That profile makes it a club we’d recommend getting fitted for before you buy. Used copies are priced between $132 and $149, a significant discount from its original $349 retail price.
