WATCH: How to practice your swing in the bedroom or a hotel room

That’s right, a bit of bedroom practice.

Quiet at the back.

It’s very definitely bedroom, or hotel room, golf practice.

Plenty of golfers will have pulled out the putter and taken aim at a chair leg or a spare mug.

Others will have, like the headline image, risked knocking a few chips on to the bed.

But Arizona golf coach Keith Bennett thinks you can work on your swing between rounds without hitting a ball.

On Instagram he reveals this little drill.

“Here’s a simple way to work on your swing next time you’re on the road or just hanging in your bedroom,” he writes and his captioned instructions are simple.

“Tailbone up against the bed,” he begins.

“For an on-plane takeaway,” he adds, “miss the bed on the backswing.”

He explains and demonstrates that: “If you’re over the top, you’ll miss the bed on the downswing.”

But: “For an inside out downswing, try to hit the bed on the downswing.”

Just be sure not to actually hit any balls.

A Ryder Cup-winning European golfer was once stuck in his hotel room during a weather delay and clattered a ball through a window.

A closed window.

An expensive mistake!
