Scottish Golf are moving to a new technology provider, and in order to migrate 200,000 golfers information to the new platform, the WHS will need to go through a period of suspension. This is to ensure all the data migrated over is accurate at the point of switch.
For golf clubs:
The WHS freeze takes place from 15 December 2022 until 7 January 2023.
Scottish Golf are managing the process. From 15 December, your Scottish Golf app will become a read-only version, effectively making it functionless for a time.
If you wish to post a score during the freeze, we’d ask that you do so after the WHS/CDH has been reactivated on the 7 January 2023. ISVs have been made aware of the change. You will be sent a link to the new WHS Clubhouse platform in due course.
Between 15 December and 7 January, even if it appears in the app that your score is being posted, please note that it will not be accepted by WHS. No handicap adjustments will be made.
For golfers:
The App
You can delete the app from 31 December 2022. Instructions on the new app will follow in due course.
Once the new app is launched and you have downloaded it, registered and logged in, all your data will appear as before. There will be some new features as well, such as player stats and ability to create groups.
Scores posted on the 14 December will be included.
Scores posted on the 14 December will be included as part of the process. Scores reach the WHS as soon as they have been submitted via your platform but to ensure this is timely, please ensure you submit you score as soon as the round is finished. We recommend all scores are posted by 9pm on the night of the 14th to guarantee they will be included in the import. If scores are posted after this, they can still be submitted retrospectively once the new WHS platform is live.
