JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Oglethorpe women’s golf team posted a 20th-place finish at their host tournament, the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, this weekend at Great Dunes Golf Course.
Freshman Dounia Bezzari finished in the top 50 individually after a strong 8 over par finish in her second day. She shot 23 over par, leading the Petrels. Bezzari is ranked No. 58 overall in NCAA Division III.
Elizabeth Powell (75th), McKazlyn Payne (79th) and Macie Stefano (98th) all followed Bezzari in the top 100.
Up next, the Petrels will compete in the Camp Lejeune Marine Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at the Scarlet Course starting on April 10.
