Melbourne, Fl. — The Augusta women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Moon Golf Invitational on Tuesday with its best round of the tournament. As a team, the Jaguars were 15 shots better than either the first or second round, finishing at +13 for the day. They placed 17th overall for the tournament.
Florida State won the team title and was the only school to finish under par over the three rounds. Wake Forest took second, followed by South Carolina in third.
On the individual front, Augusta’s Sara Adams posted a one-over 73 and finished in 44th place. Adams parred 17 straight holes before her lone bogey on the final hole of the day.
Zoe Pinillos matched her lowest round of the year with a 73, improving by six shots from Monday’s round. She recorded two birdies and three bogeys on an otherwise clean scorecard.
Jessica Pilgrim‘s round of 77 was her best of the year, while Marine Legentil shot a 78 for Augusta’s final counting score.
