World Golf Competition – the world’s best luxury golf experience for amateurs

THE World Golf Competition, scheduled for its inaugural staging in 2025, is set to transcend any and all traditional golfing events.

The Competition provides a platform for competitors from diverse backgrounds and abilities to come together, form connections and expand networks through their shared love of the game, while offering a unique and unforgettable experience at a collection of the best golf courses around the world.

The unique 1v3 format of The Competition offers a fair chance of progression through the various stages of the event for all competitors, in addition to luxury travel, accommodation and dining experiences.

In partnering with some of the world’s most exclusive and desirable championship golf courses, the tournament is committed to upholding a high standard of excellence and respect through a comprehensive quality program, detailed planning, and effective communication.

As explained by World Golf Competition Co-Founder Jon Kerr, the ultimate aim is to showcase the world’s best golf courses, while providing a different competitive experience, to a global golfing community.

“The World Golf Competition is like nothing the golfing world has seen before – to give amateur players the opportunity to experience the life of a Top 100 Professional, combined with luxury services and played on golf courses they wouldn’t otherwise have access to, is unheard of,” Kerr said.

“Nothing like this currently exists, and winning The Competition would be completely life changing.”

Victorian professional Marcus Fraser, a three-time European Tour winner, twice a winner in Asia, a runner-up in both the Australian Masters and Australian PGA Championships and a former Victorian and New Zealand Amateur champion, is on board as a World Golf Competition Brand Ambassador.

It is a tournament for golfers – male, female and all-abilities players – promoting inclusiveness in the sport.

1 – Provides the everyday golfer an opportunity to experience the highs and intense pressure of a tour pro in contention on Sunday.

2 – Competitors only pay once (the entry fee). This covers subsequent rounds and most travel-related costs if they progress through the competition.

3 – Players must hold a handicap with the World Handicapping System issued by a recognised national golf association.

4 – Establishes fairness via the 1 v 3 format in handicap seeded groups and strong handicap verification.

Round 1 involves 16 zones globally, eight in North American, four in Europe, two in Asia and two in Oceania (Australia and New Zealand), on 96 golf courses.

Round 2 golfers who have successfully won through from round one competitions compete to progress to a Zone Final.
