Welcome to Worth It Used?, our used club edition of deal or no deal. Each week, I’ll take one used club at a real asking price, run it through our testing data and give you a verdict: Deal, No Deal or Deal If (which means buy it as long as a few things check out). When it isn’t a clean yes, I’ll show you what I’d buy instead.

Is the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus still worth buying?
First up is the TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus. Listings start around $299 against an original price of $629. This driver was heavily talked about for quite some time. It was our best driver of 2023 with a 9.7 overall score, then finished fifth in our 2024 testing as the top TaylorMade in the field. Distance and accuracy carried it. Forgiveness is where it wavers. It’s not the most forgiving (consistent) for the golfer who struggles to find the center of the face. It’s not a driver to pick up if your goal is extra forgiveness.
The verdict: Deal If
At $299, you’re paying less than half the original price for a club that still tests like a contender. The catch is that it’s a low-spin head and it rewards golfers who can use that. If you swing fast and find the center of the face most of the time, buy it. If you need help on off-center hits, skip to the picks below.
What to pay and what to check
The $299 listing is in pretty good condition but it isn’t the cheapest. You’ll find others around $239 if you shop around so compare before you buy. Whichever one you pick, check three things: the face and crown for cracks or chips, the shaft flex and loft against the listing and make sure you budget that you might need a new grip.

If the Stealth 2 Plus isn’t a fit for your game, there are a few ways to spend a little more, depending on what the Stealth 2 Plus isn’t giving you. Prices below are as of October 2026 so check current listings.
My top pick, used: PING G430 Max 10K, about $385
This is what I’d buy if forgiveness is the priority. It was the best-performing driver in our 2024 Most Wanted test, posted the straightest shots in the whole test pool and was the 2025 runner-up. It’s also one of the most forgiving drivers we’ve tested. Used ones typically sell for $350 to $420 so you’ll pay more than for the Stealth 2 Plus and they can be hard to find.
If you want something newer: TaylorMade Qi10 LS, $399 (NEW)
In our 2024 testing the Qi10 LS was the top driver for faster swing speeds although it finished just behind the Stealth 2 Plus overall and isn’t the most forgiving.
If you can stretch the budget: Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond, $549 (NEW)
Our best overall driver of 2025. Its performance held up across a broader range of golfers, not just fast swingers.
